At Midwest Trailer Vault, we are committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent process for receiving your new or pre-owned trailer. This policy outlines the available delivery methods, associated timelines, costs, and procedures. Please review this information carefully before completing your purchase.

Primary Delivery Method: Customer Pickup

As is standard in the trailer industry, customer pickup from our dealership is our primary, preferred, and often most economical delivery method.

  • Location: Midwest Trailer Vault, 127 NW Prairie View Rd, Kansas City, MO 64151.

  • Process: Once your purchase and any financing are finalized, our team will contact you to schedule a pickup date and time. We will ensure your trailer is detailed, prepped, and ready for safe transit.

  • Advantages: Pickup allows for a final, in-person inspection with a sales or service specialist, immediate possession, and no professional delivery fees.

  • Preparation: Please ensure your towing vehicle is equipped with the correct hitch (bumper-pull or gooseneck), has adequate towing capacity, and that you have any necessary permits for wide loads.

Professional Delivery Services

We can arrange professional, insured delivery to your location within the continental United States for any trailer we sell.

  • Quotes: Delivery costs vary significantly based on the trailer size, type, and destination. All delivery quotes are provided on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at (605) 381-0131 for a detailed estimate.

  • Third-Party Carriers: We partner with reputable, insured auto-transport carriers. Delivery timelines are set by the carrier upon booking but typically range from 1-4 weeks depending on distance and carrier availability.

  • Responsibilities: We are responsible for safely handing off the trailer to the carrier. The carrier is responsible for transit. Upon delivery, you are responsible for inspecting and accepting the trailer as outlined in Section 4.

Order Processing & Timing

  • In-Stock Trailers: For trailers listed as “In Stock,” processing for pickup or delivery coordination begins immediately after purchase confirmation and cleared payment.

  • Special Orders & Sold Orders: For trailers built-to-order or in transit to us, your sales consultant will provide an estimated timeline for arrival at our dealership, after which pickup or delivery can be scheduled.

  • We do not guarantee specific delivery dates when using third-party carriers, as timelines are subject to weather, road conditions, and carrier scheduling.

Inspection & Acceptance of Delivery

This is a critical step to ensure your complete satisfaction.

  • Final Inspection: Whether picking up or receiving professional delivery, you must thoroughly inspect the trailer before accepting it. Check for any cosmetic issues, verify that all features and accessories are present and functional, and ensure it matches your ordered specifications.

  • Documentation: For professional deliveries, the carrier will have a Bill of Lading for you to sign. Note any damage or discrepancies on this document before signing. For pickups, our team will complete a walk-around inspection and condition report with you at the dealership.

Shipping Costs, Taxes, and Fees

  • Customer Pickup: No delivery fee. You are responsible for all costs associated with towing the trailer from our location.

  • Professional Delivery: The quoted delivery fee is in addition to the trailer’s sale price and any applicable taxes.

  • Taxes, Title, and Registration: All applicable sales tax, title, and registration fees will be calculated based on your delivery address and are due at the time of purchase unless otherwise arranged through your financing.

International Orders

We currently only ship to addresses within the continental United States.

Changes, Delays, and Force Majeure

While we make every effort to meet estimated timelines, events outside our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, carrier strikes, manufacturing delays, supply chain issues) may cause delays. We will communicate any known delays promptly.
